I realized that while I've been nursing Lady Bug for 13 months now, I have only a handful of photos of us "in action", and since I only recently discovered that my camera has a timer, I decided that we should remedy this situation with some regularity. Except that Lady Bug has reached the age where she hardly ever sits or lays quietly for nursing, so actually taking a photo proved tricker than I had thought:
It's hard to tell in that picture, but she's wearing a dress I wore as a baby... and I've got a head full of curlers under that kerchief!

I recently established a "Cuddle Corner" in our house, where anyone can go at any time when they need cuddles, and Mommy will drop what she is doing (as soon as is safe) and provide cuddles. I was pretty sure Big Brother would take up permanent residence there, but actually he's only used it a couple times. It's been wonderfully calming, though, for all of us, sitting there in the sun.
Lady Bug likes the corner, too, esp. in the sunshine, and when nursing:
